Born in the Kernan community west of Ragley, Louisiana in 1906, Annette Cole suffered from severe asthma. She worked as a waitress at a café in Longville, Louisiana. Short in stature, she was by all accounts a sweet, Christian lady with a big heart. She was married to Kirby J. Cole. They led a simple life in rural Longville, Louisiana. She died as a result of a severe asthma attack in 1970.
