Barbara A. Martin, 50, of Lafayette Avenue, died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker, a member of Women of the Moose, St. John's Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Beck's Grove Christian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 pm Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jim Weld officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday. Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. today. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Barbara was born in Paoli, March 7, 1960, the daughter of Dale and Judy Baker Kendall. She married Charles "Chuck" Martin, June 10, 1978.

Survivors include her parents, of Paoli; her husband; brothers, Jeff (Shareleen) Kendall and Paul (Robin) Kendall, both of Paoli, and Bob (Lisa) Kendall of Southport; and her grandmother, Bertha Dobbins of Paoli.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Glenn Baker, Earl Kendall and Pearl Kendall.
