Charmion Ann McCardle peacefully reunited with the love of her life, Mickey, on December 23, 2010.

Born in Los Angeles, California on May 28, 1922 to Ellie and Ray Wilson, Charm grew up with two fun loving brothers, Ray Jr. and Jamie, and creative sister Joan. Her birth name, while unique, appropriately represented the wonderful life she lived.

Married to her childhood sweetheart who became a hometown football star at USC, Charm made her own mark by becoming one of the first US Navy Waves, an officer of the Screen Smart Set, and a thirty-year volunteer at the Motion Picture Country Home.

As the wife of an Assistant Director/ Unit Production Manager, Charm was surrounded by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but nothing made her happier than being with family.

A charter member of the Wacky Wilson Reunion, Charm was in her glory every Thanksgiving as the Wilsons gathered, shared stories, played marathon rounds of White Elephant, and spirited games of Charades.

Becoming grandmother "Besta" gave her renewed life. She poured all her energy in to making sure they received all the love and help a grandmother could give. That love was returned as evidenced by the care given to her in her last days by her granddaughter. As a great-grandmother of three, she was in her glory continuing to instill her love of life.

Charm is survived by her sister Joan, children Susea (Gene), Mark (Faith), and David (Sally), adopted daughter Sandy DiSpirito, grandchildren Erin (Chad) and Ryan, great-grandchildren Kaleb, Krista, and Lucas and the many nieces, nephews, and close family and friends that made her life complete.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on December 31, 2010 in the Inglewood Park Cemetery.
