Charles Tennyson Sharpe is son of Sireness and Myrtle (Isley), Sharpe.

Charles Tennyson Sharpe died Saturday, June 30, at Salt Lake City Hospital. He was born August 14, 1911, in McCracken, Kan., to Sireness J. Myrtle Isley Sharpe.
He married Gwen Rich May 2,1941.

He worked as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1937 to 1975. He was Grievance Chairman for the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Local No. 607, and represented this organization at several national conventions.

Sharpe was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen; his son, John Rich Sharpe, Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Barbara Sharpe Zinkevicz, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one brother, Sidney L. Sharpe, Falls Church, Va.; two sisters, Harriet Winquist, VTiets, Kan., and Dolores Alfers, Axtell, Kan.; and six grandchildren.

A son, Bryan S. Sharpe, and a brother, Frank S.Sharpe, preceeded him in death.

Funeral Services under the direction ofMatthews Mortuary were held in Montpelier First and Forth Wards Chapel Tuesday, July 3, at 2:00 P.M., followed by interment in Montpelier Cemetery.

Services were conducted by Counselor Max Lauridsen. John R. Sharpe gave the prayer. The invocation was by Emerson R. Rich, and Willard Kunz gave the obituary. Speakers were Stephen C. Rich and Edward H. Rich. Grant P. Grandy gave the benediction. Lillas Clark played the prelude and postlude. Max Haddock sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and Ruth Kay Andersen sang "The Lord's Prayer." Flowers were under the direction
of the First Ward Relief Society.
