Lula May was 1/2 chow and 1/2 dauchhound (wennie dog as Shandy says). He was Shandy's dog. Yes, he was a boy even though given a girls name. Shandy had her reasons for doing that. Lula May was the best watch dog we ever knew. He had a different bark for each different species invading his territory. He loved to put his arms around Shandy's neck and just love her. Paw Paw was very attached to Lula May and is very broken up over his death. Lula May got sick and quit barking and then quit eating, so we took him to the vet and found out he had a severe case of heartworms. It was so bad the there was no treatment to save him. He was only sick for three days. So we had to have him put to sleep. Paw Paw couldn't stay in the room while the doctor did it, so D.D. had to stay with him. He went to sleep very fast and very easy. We are so sorry to loose him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him...
