Joyce Kathleen "Kathy" Caldwell, 57, Coffeyville, KS died late Monday night, December 27, 2010 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Kathy was born August 11, 1953 at Coffeyville to William E. "Bill" Russell and Evelyn (Trimble) Russell. She grew up in Coffeyville and was a graduate of Field Kindley High School. Kathy attended Coffeyville Community College and later in life, attained her Masters Degree in Business Accounting. During the course of her career, she lived in the Kansas City area, Nashville and Dallas, before returning to Coffeyville five years ago. Kathy worked for B&R Accounting for a year and then Taylor Crane & Rigging. She attended Tyro Christian Church and was a member of Coffeyville Cultural Arts.
Survivors are her parents, Bill and Evelyn Russell of Dearing, Kansas; one son, Bill Caldwell and his wife, Sherry of Dearing; a daughter, Chantel R. Burris of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Glen Russell, who is currently a missionary stationed in Central America and Jeffrey Russell of Havana, Kansas; one sister, Vickie Medsker of Independence, Kansas; four grandchildren, Nathanial Foster, Micheal Caldwell, Samantha Jo Burris and Billie Jean Burris, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Interment will follow in Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville, under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will take place at the funeral home, Wednesday, 1-8 p.m., with family receiving guests from 6-8 p.m.
