Mrs. Stockdale, Estherville, Dies
Estherville, Ia. – Services for Mrs. Lloyd B. Stockdale, 69, who has been active in welfare work for children, will be 11 a.m. today at Grace Episcopal Church here.

Mrs. Stockdale died Sunday night in Holy Family Hospital after suffering a stroke. She had been in failing health for five years.

She was president for 10 years of the Emmet County Society for Crippled Children, a vice-president and executive committee member of the Iowa Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc., and was a board member for five years of the Iowa Childrens Home Society.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, two sons, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a stepmother. A memorial to Grace Episcopal Church has been established. (Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA, October 25, 1966)

Funeral services for Mrs. Lloyd E. Stockdale were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Rev. Robert Thiefeld officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers included S. B. Broms of Sun City, Ariz., Dr. J. P. Clark, Edwin A. Boss of Des Moines, Deemer Lee, Joseph L. Hoye, R. C. Edelen, P. E. Frettem, Herbert H. Drey of Des Moines, John Reilly of Des Moines, and F. E. Rosendahl.

Active pallbearers were Chester Pierson, Dewayne Fisher, John Fisher, L. M. Brashear, Dr. D. E. Wolters, and Robert N. Lee.
