Mrs. Atchley was a homemaker and active in several civic organizations. She served on the cemetery board, secretary for the Olney Riding Club, a former member of the Garden Club.
She lived in Olney most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survived by one son - W.A. "Bubba' Atchley, Jr. of Olney; one daughter - Barbara Mullins of Olney; one brother - C.D. Norman of Irving; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Barfield on 13 September 1984
