Per the Branford Historical Society-Harrison House, Robert Abbott is believed to have been buried somewhere in the open area near the large tree in the middle of the photo. This area is where the original church and graveyard was located and Robert Abbott's "headstone" was believed to have been made of wood as was common in that century. There is only one existing headstone remaining from that century. No new burials are allowed in this area.
