Charlotte Joslyn Burnham, wife of Luther Sylvester and Mother of 12 children writes as follows: " I am now 78 (1899) with poor eyesight and trembling hand. I have one son in California, Arthur 22 and the rest of my children live near me. My children are all Republicans and non-church-men. My son in California is a fruit raiser and the rest are farmers and dairymen. I tried Mormonism and found nothing in that."

Old Residents Called
Charlotte Burnham of Woods Cross, age nearly 88.
MRS. CHARLOTTE BURNHAM
Mrs. Charlotte Joslyn Burnham, widow of the late Luther S. Burnham, passed away in South Bountiful, where she had resided for over fifty years, Thursday evening. Old age was the principal cause of her demise although she had taken a little cold.
She would have been eighty-eight years old next month.
Vermont was her native state. She was married to her late husband in Illinois and came to Utah with him in the latter part of the fifties.
She was the mother of twelve children, six of whom survive her. They are, A.L. Burnham (Adelbert Lewis) of Woods Cross, A. E Burnham (Arthur Ernest) of Healdsburg, Calif., J. W. Burnham of Salt Lake (James Wilbur), Mrs. Joseph E. Ellis (Harriet Elnora Burnham), L. S. Burnam (Luther Sylvester) and G.R. Burnham (George Riley) of Woods Cross.
Funeral Services will be held in the South Bountiful meeting house this Saturday, at 2p.m. The remains will be laid to rest in the Bountiful Cemetery beside her husband who preceded her to the great beyond by nineteen years.
