HAMPTON, IOWA: Louis Lammert Dohrmann, 85, died December 22, 2010 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.
He was born November 22, 1925 in rural Hampton to Otto and Ella Uilk Dohrmann. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a U.S. Army veteran. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer, and enjoyed bowling and golf. Survivors include his wife, Joanne Symes Dohrmann; a daughter, Janet (Lanny) Buls of Independence; two sons, Dana and (Janelle) Dohrmann of Hampton, and Louis Kevin Dohrmann (Jennifer Miller) of Omaha, NE; three brothers, Kenneth (VaDonna) Dohrmann, Gerald (Ruby) Dohrmann, and Wayne (Phyllis) Dohrmann; a sister, Lenora (Cecil) Groven; 12 grandchildren; his cousins; his nieces and nephews; and his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Interment was at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Latimer under the direction of Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home.
