Funeral services for Army Cpl. Robert Ray Brown, 20, of Plano, killed in action in Vietnam October 1, will be at 1 p. m. Saturday in Hamilton Baptist Church of Frisco. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park in Dallas.

Brown, a native of Collin County, had been in Vietnam three weeks. He was killed by enemy fire while on an operation with the 9th Infantry Division south of Saigon.

He had attended Plano and Frisco High Schools and lettered in football. He was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church.

Drafted in July 1966, he served for a year in Germany before volunteering for Vietnam duty. He received the Bronze Star for valor and the Purple Heart, awarded posthumously.

Survivors: Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby D. Brown; two brothers, Bobby C. Brown and David Brown of Frisco; six sisters, Miss Nancy Brown, Miss Pauline Brown, Miss Ella Brown, Miss Maureen Brown, Miss Thelma Brown, and Miss Angela Brown of Plano; and grandmothers, Mrs. Izora Drake of Plano and Mrs. J. B. Brown of Frisco.
