Mrs. Emma C. Farwell was born Aug. 6, 1883, in Elba Township the daughter of John & Keziah Gray Lindzey. She married Orrin Farwell in 1903 and he preceded her in death in 1950.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Guy (Bernice) Davis of R.R. Williamsfield, Mrs. Bonnie Jean Smith of Galesburg, Il. and Joan Ruth Davis, of Normal, Illinois and one Great Grandchild, she was the last of a family of 11 children.

All her life had been spent, in the Elba, Williamsfield communities. She was a member of the Elba Worth While Club and attended Elba Center Methodist Church. She had been in failing health for the last eight years and her death occured Sunday January 21 at Harvey Nursing Home, Galesburg, Illinois.

Funeral services were held January 23, at Patterson Funeral Home, Elmwood, Illinois, with the Rev. Vincent Will of Williamsfield Methodist Church Officiating and burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbears were Russell Davis, Lynn Sherman, Lester Potts, Lester Gray, Charles Huber, & James O. Baird.
