Vernon R. Burdette passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, in Masonic Garden II in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday 1 to 7 p.m. at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors; family and friends will gather 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pauline Minor Chapel for a wake. Survivors: Left with fond memories of Vernon are his loving mother, Laverne Burdette; daughters, Angela Ned (Jimmie), Crystal Sanders; sister, Juanita Burdette; seven grandchildren; aunt, Delores Davis; other relatives; friends.
