Mrs. Maud Jane Bailey, 89, died early Saturday morning at the Baptist Hospital, Memphis, following a two month illness.
Born and reared in McNairy County near Finger, she was the daughter of William and Harriett Floyd Naylor. She attended school there before marrying John Robert Bailey in 1905. They continued to live in Finger where they farmed.
Mr. Bailey died in 1943 and since that time she had made her home with her children.
Survivors include four sons, Harmond Bailey of Blytheville, Ark., A. I. Bailey of Finger, Eddie Bailey of Senatobia, Miss., and Jesse Bailey of St. Louis.; a daughter, Mrs. Jewell Floyd of Memphis; a brother, Harmon Naylor of Henderson; two sisters, Mrs. Holly Plunk of Henderson and Mrs. Sadie Barham of Blytheville; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Sweetlips Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Casey Funeral Home in charge.
The following grandsons will be pallbearers: Larry Bailey, Garry Bailey, Gerald Bailey, Charles Bailey, Harold Bailey and James Floyd.
