She was born on April 30, 1957, in Longview, Wash., the daughter of Raimon and Mary Owens Mangan.
She and her family lived in Washington and in Oregon before moving to Garden City in the 1970s, where she graduated from Garden City High School. She worked at Garden City Teachers Federal Credit Union, was a paraprofessional for Holcomb School District USD 363 and was employed at Alltel. She enjoyed leather crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her companion, Michael J. Mooney of Holcomb; two daughters, Danelle Barlow and Malia Carr, both of Holcomb; four brothers, Jim Kester of Arizona, John Kester of Garden City, Donald Mangan of Alamosa, Colo., and Russ Mangan of Garden City; a sister, Marlene Hassler of Santee, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
