Carol (Starr) Bushnell 70, of Manchester, beloved wife of fifty years to Peter M. Bushnell Sr., passed away quietly after a long battle with cancer on Friday (December 17, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side.
Carol was born September 2, 1940 in Hartford, daughter of the late William and Ruth Starr, was raised in South Glastonbury, and was a graduate of Glastonbury High School.
She was employed with the former Diamond Showcase and Hannoush Jewelers in the Manchester Parkade for over ten years, retiring in 1996 as Assistant Manager.
In addition to her husband Peter, she leaves her son, Peter M. Bushnell Jr. and his wife, Deanne of Manchester, her two special granddaughters, Sarah and Heather Bushnell of Manchester, her two sisters, Janet and Cindy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Lynn Bushnell and her brother, James Starr.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday (December 22, 2010) at 11:00 a.m. at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center Street, Manchester.
Burial will follow in East Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (December 21, 2010) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
