Warren Dareld Fewkes, 85, of Nampa passed away Sunday Nov. 27, 2005, at his home. Warren was born Sept 25, 1920, to Curtis F. and Edith Mae Egan Fewkes at Boise. He lived in Long Valley (Cascade) and attended Van Wyke School and helped on the farm. The family later moved to Nampa where he graduated from Nampa High. He served an LDS Spanish-speaking mission in the South Western States. After his mission he went right into the armed services during WWII. In 1949 he married June Barbara Spencer. They made their home in Adrian, Ore., where he farmed and worked at the Amalgamated Sugar Factory in Nyssa, Ore. Later they moved to Fruitland and in 1972 they moved back to Nampa.
Warren is survived by Lynda (Lister) Leavitt, Dixie (Todd) Christensen, Wanetta (Ron) Anderson, Curtis (Sheryl) Fewkes, Dan Fewkes, Patricia (Orlen) Payne, Bobby (Debra) Fewkes, Carol (Rodney) Hawks, Sandra (Harold) Durfee and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in death by his parents; Curtis and Edith Fewkes; wife, June Barbara Fewkes; and two granddaughters, Corilla Payne and Daniel Fewkes.
