Charles Pratt Essley

Sylvia - Charles Pratt Essley, 70, died at 8:45 yesterday morning in his home near here after three months' illness. Funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Pleasant Hill Nazarene church with Rev. Dave Severin in charge. Burial will be in North Platte, [Lincoln County] Neb.

Mr. Essley was born in Phillips county and moved to this community 13 years ago from Logan county, Neb.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Clara Essley; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Nelson of Stapleton, Neb., and Mrs. Susie Christensen of Grand Island, Neb.; two sons, Elmer Essley of North Platte and Arthur Essley of Ringgold, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Capps of Agra, Kan.; and three brothers, Asbury Essley of Phoenix, Ariz.; Nathan Essley of Van Nuys, Calif., and Dave Essley of Glendale, Ariz.
