Sylvia "Dixie" Baise, 95, died on Friday, January 31, 1997 at Community Care in Fulton.

She was born on September 18, 1901, the daughter of Payton and Dora (Debo) Foy. She married Jesse Glenn "Jack" Baise who died on January 18,1987.

Mrs. Baise retired from the Fulton State Hospital and had worked with the Foster Grandparents Program for many years.

She was a member of Ebenezer Babtist Church.

Survivors include, a granddaughter whom she raised, Tempie Baise Adams of Fulton, two brothers, Clancy Foy and Norman Foy Sr, both of Winslow, Arizona, two step-daughters, Helen Ross of Bentonville, Arkansas and Janice Hendricks of Montgomery City, Missouri, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by a sister, two brothers and a step-son, Thaddeus Baise.

Services will be at 2PM on Monday at Maupin Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Reverend Steven Dull officiating.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Babtist Church Cemetary.

Visitation from 4-6PM today at the funeral home.
