Calvin George, son of Robert George and Margaret Miller George, was born in Sweetwater, TX. At age 2, the family moved to Mansfield AR, where they bought a large farm. The family later moved to OK, where Calvin married Mary Hancock on 19 Nov 1892.

Four children were born in OK, Ulyssis, Margaret Jane, Ina, and Calvin. The family then moved west to Yuma AZ, where he was a farmer and a merchant. Seven more children were born--James, Helen, Thelma, John, Benjamin, Lloyd, and Mary.

Calvin George was a quiet and loving family man. In Sept of 1917, he drowned in an irrigation canal. He was just 51 years old.
