Ruth H. Burlew, 96, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola.
She was born in Plymouth, Il. on April 12, 1914 to John Franklin Hatch and Bessie Powell Hatch. She married Clair Z. Burlew in 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and her son, Jeffrey L. Burlew in 2010.
She is survived by a daughter, Claire (Dave) Isom of Belleville; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Burlew of Villa Grove; grandchildren, Nancy (Tim) Gardner of San Francisco, Susan Gibson of Springfield, Alice (Tim) Hauser of Sullivan, Katherine Ruth (Matt) Burlew of Marietta, Ga., Charles Clabaugh of Villa Grove and Becky Clabaugh (Greg Kincaid) of Villa Grove; great-grandchildren, Alexa and James Hauser, Jackson Burlew, Madeline and Samantha Clabaugh and Anna Kincaid and another great-granddaughter later in December; a sister, Lois Dowell of Falls Church, Va. and many nieces and nephews.
