Bruce A. Carter Jr. ,84, of Seymour, passed away at 1:40 PM Tuesday, May 11, at Schneck Medical Center of Seymour. He was born May 24, 1925 in Jackson County to the late Bruce A. and Goldie Crane Carter.
On August 19th, 1950, he married Edith B. Laraway. She passed away July 7th., 2009.
He had worked at Blish Milling Co., Excello Shirt Factory and retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1983. Bruce also enjoyed farming, gardening and loved to travel.
Mr. Carter will be greatly missed by his daughter Carol (Bill) Daly and sons Dennis (Shirlan) Carter and Duane (Carolyn) Carter, also seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and one brother, Charles Tipton Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister, Virginia Knowles.
Funeral service for Mr. Carter will be conducted at Voss Chapel, Seymour, IN at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 14, with the Rev. Paul Ayers officiating.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday, May 13 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Friday from 12 noon until time of service.

Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery with a Voss Dove release.
