Carrie Roxie Braswell Walker
Carrie Walker, age 94, of Charlotte, formerly of Wilkes County, widow of George West Walker, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home in Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Sharon Walker Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Walker Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 1 until 2 at the church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alicia Walker Buff and husband Donald of Newton; one son, James H. Walker and wife Pauline of Charlotte; and one brother, Dallas Braswell of Collettesville.
The family request no flowers. Memorials may be made to Sharon Walker Baptist Church Children's Fund, 8780 West NC Hwy 268, Boomer, NC 28606.
