Charles "Charlie" Aiken married Margaret "Maggie" O'Connor and to this union two children were born:

Elizabeth Alice "Lizzie" Aiken b. 1 Jan 1879 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota

Mabel Aiken b. About 1880 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, South Dakota

Charlie is a great mystery to our family. The oldest living family member (his grand-daughter) has this to say about him:

He was a poker player who dressed very fancy and used to go out to Deadwood South Dakota to play poker. One day he left and never returned. His wife (Maggie) said that she thought he was killed playing poker in Deadwood and was buried at Boot Hill which is now Mount Moriah Cemetery. He left home when his two daughters were very young. The family has searched for him for years. Old timers in the area at the time and shortly after the disappearance confirmed that he had been killed playing poker and buried at Boot Hill.
