Mrs. Sarah Ann Austin, great-great grandmother of four, died yesterday at her home at 32 Burnside street on her 97th birthday. Mrs. Austin had been in ill health since last November as the result of a fall. Previous to that time she had been remarkably active for her years, and had been able to go about the house, wash dishes and do other light work.
She was born in Glocester but moved to this city about 65 years ago. She is survived by her husband Joseph S. Austin, several grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 oclcok from the funeral home of Frank A. Remington. Burial will be Oakland Cemetery.
