Betty Jo Bennet Adkins, 80, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Saturday. December 11, 2010, in Russell, Ky.
She was born December 8, 1930, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Justice D. and Betty King Bennett.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Adkins, and brothers, William "Bill" Bennett and Matt Bennett, and a sister, Ann Bennett Holman.
Surviving are a son, Rick Adkins of Flatwoods, Ky.; three daughters, Kathy Stamper (Mike) of Flatwoods, Ky., Connie Tackett (Greg) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Brenda Deem (Robert) of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amie Stamper, Sara Flannagan, Lisa Tackett and Christopher Lewellyn; a brother, Robert "Bob" K. Bennett of Rich Patch, Va.; and a sister, Helen Bennett Kozee of Flatwoods, Ky.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens by the Rev. James Stamper.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
