Inez was the third daughter born to Jacob Anderson and Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Fields. The six children were: Virgil, Carmel, Vester, Iva, Inez, and Aleta.

Inez married Loche V. Hibler on the 4th of July, 1922 in Clinton, Missouri. They had one daughter, Patricia Inez, before divorcing shortly after.

Then Inez met and married the love of her life, Ed Peterson, on December 31, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ed also fell in love with Inez's daughter, Patricia, and raised her as his own daughter. Patricia and her husband, Cecil, gave Inez and Ed their first and only grandson, Terryl Pat, that was the light of their life. Sadly, Patricia, Cecil, and Terryl Pat were killed in a tragic car accident in 1964 changing the lives of Inez and Ed forever. To honor their memory of their loved ones, they turned their lives over to the Lord and became active members of Grace Lutheran Church in KCK for the rest of their lives.
