OBIT: The Blossom Bee 31 May 1912 -- Frank Anderson, a brother of our townsman, John W. Anderson, was killed last Friday afternoon by a Paris & Mt. Pleasant freight train near Johnston (Johntown), between Talco & Bogata. Mr. Anderson was about 22 years old and was engaged in the mercantile business at Talco. He fell while attempting to board the freight train, his legs sliding under the car wheels and both were severed from his body. The train was stopped and the young man was carried under the shade of the trees and regained consciousness in a short time, after which he was taken to Bogata and then to the hospital in Paris. He was conscious during the entire trip, but expired immediately after reaching the hospital. The deceased was a son of Rev. F. M. Anderson of Paris. The remains were buried in Paris.
