Mrs. Lucinda Arthur, age 89 years, died at the home of her son, George Arthur, of the left hand fork of Poca, on Sunday. She had been in a serious condition for several days as the results of a broken hip caused from a fall at her home.
She is survived by two sons, George Arthur and Ben Arthur; one daughter, Mrs. Samantha Meadows; one sister, Mrs. Louisa Asbury; one brother, Andrew Lanham, all of Kanawha county, and a number of nephews and nieces. Mrs. Arthur was born in Kanawha county and spent her entire life here.
Funeral services were held at the residence on Monday afternoon and burial was at the family cemetery near the home.
