Trey was employed by the Hampton Roads Sanitation District and served there for over 15 years. He also served in the United States Air Force.
Trey is survived by his brother, Erik Stauffenberg and wife Kathy and their children, Rebecca, Andrew, and Aaron; and aunt, Michaele Aase of Sacramento, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Heritage United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles N. Wiest and the Rev. John F. Shappell, officiating. Entombment will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park, Chapel of Serenity Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Treys name may be made to Heritage United Methodist Church. Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
