Mrs. Maria Koontz, wife of Henry M. Koontz, died Monday morning, February 12, 1934, at 10:15 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Breitweiser, 15 John street, Westminster, after a lingering illness of three years of complication of diseases, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 24 days.

She was a daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Unger Bair and is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Harry Royer, Mrs. William King. and Mrs. William Breitweiser, all of Westminster; four brothers, Isaac C. Bair, Hagerstown, George Bair, Taylorsville, Jesse and Samuel Bair, Winfield; one sister, Mrs. Mary Wagner, Shrewsbury, Pa.; also 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The deceased was a lifelong member of the Warfieldsburg Church of God. She was very active in church and Sunday school work in former years.

The funeral was held on Thursday, February 15th with short services at the home at 2 PM and further services at the Church of God, Westminster at 2:30, the Rev. J H Hoch of Uniontown, assisted by the Rev. Harry C. Gonso of Westminster.

Interment was made in Westminster Cemetery. The pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: H. Edgar Royer, Jesse C. Royer, Ralph K. Royer, Lester Deardorff, Henry Deardorff and Mervin Deardorff. Harvey Bankard & Sons, funeral directors.
