Lionel was given to my by my next door neighbor Andrew around 2003. Andrew who was about 8 at the time and knew I had a lot of pets. He brought him over to my porch and asked me if I wanted him. I was taken off guard, but said yes. They didn't want him because he would run all night on his excerise wheel when they were trying to sleep. They knew that I kept later hours and might would be a better fit.

Lionel was never any trouble. He was a bit of a little nibbler. The funniest memory was once I was in the bath tub, with my cat Spice perched guard at the edge. Next thing you know, Lionel runs by on the floor. I was so scared Spice would get him. I screamed and everyone ran. I am not sure how he got down out of his cage and off the podium, but that was probably his biggest adventure and a night out on the "town".
