MRS. HUGH MCKEOWN, 48, EXPIRES IN HOSPITAL
Mrs. Hugh McKeown, 48, of 125 North Seminary street, died at 2:25 o'clock this morning in Galesburg Cottage hospital, where she had been a patient the past two weeks. The body was taken to a mortuary in Stronghurst. Funeral arrangements will be announced Thursday.

MRS. H.A. MCKEOWN SERVICES ON FRIDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh A. McKeown will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Presbyterian church, with the Rev. M.F. Stuart officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood cemetery. The body was taken to the home of the sister, Mrs. Charles Cochran, 500 Irwin street, where friends may call this afternoon and evening and Friday morning.
Mrs. McKeown died Wednesday morning at 2:25 o'clock in the Galesburg Cottage hospital, where she had been a patient the past month. Her last illness was of eighteen months' duration and death was due to complications.
Elsie Grace Curtiss, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Curtiss, was born Jan. 31, 1891, on a farm three and one-half miles southwest of Gladstone. She spent her early days in that vicinity. Dec. 28, 1918, she married Hugh A. McKeown of the Gladstone vicinity. One son, Lyman Curtiss, was born. Mr. and Mrs. KcKeown had made their home in Galesburg the past fourteen years. She was a member of the South Henderson United Presbyterian church near Gladstone, having joined June 1, 1912.
Surviving are the husband, the son and one grandson, William Lee McKeown, 4, at home, three brothers, L. Wilson Curtiss and George A. Curtiss, both of Gladstone, and John E. Curtiss, Burlington, Ia., two sisters, Mrs. Martha Nolan of Biggsville and Mrs. Carrie Cochran, Galesburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. A brother, Charles, and a sister, Mary Louise, and the parents preceded her in death.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. H.A. MCKEOWN
Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh A. McKeown, 125 North Seminary street, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. M.F. Stuart officiating. The song service was furnished by a male quartet of Biggsville composed of Branson Kelly, Walter Cochran, Charles Graham and Tom Glenn. Mrs. Marshall Gibb was accompanist. They sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sometime We'll Understand." The services were largely attended by relatives and friends from Galesburg and surrounding towns. Burial was in East Linwood cemetery and the following nephews were pallbearers: William Nolan, Oquawka; Lynn Curtiss and Clark Curtiss, Gladstone; Dale Hedges, Toulon; and Ralph Knutstrom and Clifford McKeown, Stronghurst.
