Granddaughter of Richard Wayne "Dick" Van Dyke, Marjorie Willett Van Dyke, William and Mary North, and Dr. Milton and Rita Heller.
Great-granddaughter of former Senator Stephen M. Young (Democrat, Ohio).
Niece of Barry Van Dyke, Carrie Beth Van Dyke, and Stacy Van Dyke.
Grandniece of Jerry Van Dyke.
The week before her death she was set to make her acting debut in a principle role in her school's production of "Bye, Bye, Birdie". She enjoyed photography, choir, and creative writing. In 1986, she placed third in a national essay-writing contest sponsored by Cricket Magazine.
Died tragically when she contracted Reye's Syndrome after taking aspirin during a bout of chicken pox. She was only 13.
Memorial service was held 9 April 1987 at 3PM at Miller-Deutsch Memorial Chapel, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Jessica is sadly missed by her family, friends, school mates, and teachers.
