Randell was born May 19, 1965, in Durant to Chad and Carolyn Blankenship York. He was baptized by Bud Ambin. His family moved to Angleton, Texas, where he graduated from Angleton High School in 1983.

He married Melissa Mason in Grand Cane, La., where he has resided the past 14 years.

Randell liked to fish, ride bulls and calf rope as a teenager and took his first job working with horses at Bar B Ranch at age of 13. He was an excellent horseman and loved music. He learned to play a guitar and sing his first song, "You Are My Sunshine" at his mother's knee at an early age of 6. Shortly thereafter, he was writing songs. Most of all, Randell dearly loved his family and his host of friends.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Icenhower Oil and Gas of Bossier City, La., at the time of this death.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Truett and Jewell Blankenship and Jim and Robbie York.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa York, daughter Bailey York, son Brandon Campbell, of the home, and son Cody Duane York and parents Chad and Carolyn B. York, Durant.

Interment was at Smyrna Cemetery, Grand Cane, with pallbearers Brandon McFadden, Kevin Salley, Jody Lamb, Ray Turner, Clint Wells and Trey Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Raines and Jerry Thornton.

Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched for nothing loved is ever lost - and he was loved so very much.
