Note: In File #176 there is a statement made on 8 Aug 1820 by Elisha Ames. In it he says his wife is Elizabeth, they were married Aug 1777 and that they have 7 children living with them. They are Reuben who is 15, Mamie who is 10 on 11 April, Anna and Andrew who are 9 on 27 August, Rency who is 12 on 30 July, Hugh who is 7 on 5 November and Elisha who is 4 on 4 July.
The file also has Elisha's death date as 27 September 1845. Elizabeth's maiden name is said to be Cook. Other children mentioned are Timothy Ames, Betsy Potter, and Polly Summers.
