Funeral services for Mrs. Leila DeLoach Allen, age 89 of Monroe, were held on September 24 in the Chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Tyre and Dr. Charles Forrester officiating. Interment was in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were her sons and grandsons.

Born November 25, 1894 in Jackson County, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late George DeLoach and Nora Smith Deloach. She had lived in Walton County most of her life and was the widow of Paul T. Allen who died in 1971.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Sterling Nix, Mrs. P. N. White, Mrs. B. E. Mathis and Mrs. Alice Burgess, all of Monroe, Mrs. Julia Jackson of Gainesville and Mrs. Joe Langford of Atlanta, six sons, J. T. Allen, Jack D. Allen, James O. Allen, Emmitt Allen and Carlton Allen, all of Monroe, W. E. Allen of Stockbridge, two sisters, Mrs. Wayne Alexander of Buckhead and Mrs. Onie Shepherd of Americus, 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arthur Bowick, Inc. Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
