Mrs. Mamie B. Bennett, 74, died last night at the Fairhaven Convalescent Home in Douglas after an extended illness.
She was the wife of the late William Keith Bennett. Mrs. Bennett was a Baptist Minister.
She was a member of the Axson Evangelistic Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Brantley.
Survivors are one son Melvin Bennett, Millwood; one grandson Billy Bennett; two great-grandsons; two nieces.
Funeral service will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Axson Evangelistic Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to the service.
Gentry-Shepherd-Inman Funeral Home is in charge.
