Mary Cecelia (Tierney) Morse of East Weymouth and Naples, Fla., died peacefully Sunday night, Dec. 5, 2010, with her twin sons at either side holding her hand. Born in Dorchester, Mary was a graduate of Monsignor Ryan Memorial, where she was a soloist in the choir. Mary was a retired service manager for Long's Jewelers in South Shore Plaza, Mary had an eye for good jewelry and a way with customers. Mary was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Raymond P. Morse, retired District Fire Chief Boston Fire Dept.; the daughter of the late Edmond P.and Mary C. (Kearney) Tierney; loving mother of Paul E. and his partner Pat Phisanbut of Newton, Patricia M. Tierney. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. (off Rte. 18), Whitman, Thursday 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, Friday morning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
