Mrs. Thelma Marie Clardy Bell, age 90, a resident of Lockesburg, died Sunday, December 5th in the Little River Memorial Hospital, Ashdown.
She was born to Hardy B. and Lula Delilah Turrentine Clardy at Lockesburg, Arkansas on June 14, 1920. She was a retired employee of Ayers Cleaners, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Harold Clardy, Edna Whitmore, Lenora Brooks, Verna O'Neal, Demetris West, Doretha Johnson, and Irene Montique, and her husband, Theo Bond Bell in 1986.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Felix D. "Skip" and Barbara Bell of Lockesburg, Billy Ray and Cathy Bell of Texarkana, Texas, Theo Clardy and Marilyn Bell, and Steven Lindsey and Carolyn Bell all of Lockesburg, six daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn and Rev. Tommy Halsell, Alicia "Ricky" Bell, Edna June Lampkin, Crystal Bell, Bonnie Bell, and Angela Bell, all of Lockesburg, Ark.; a sister, Beulah Billingslea of Lockesburg, twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thelma Bell are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home and will be held on Saturday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m., in the Lockesburg Elementary School Auditorium with Rev. Tommy Halsell officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Spring Cemetery, Lockesburg. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday, December 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
