Edward Carpenter was born September 17,1881 in what was at the time known as Syria(now known in today's time as Lebanon). When he was 32 years old he came to the United States. He met Marie Jurdy in Moscow and the two got married. They had a total of 9 kids. Five in which servied and four in which died after being born. During their marriage they had moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho which was were Marie Jurdy's family was at. Then after the kids were born they had moved to Spokane, Washington. The whole time the couple lived over around the Spirit Lake, Spokane area they had owned a store in Spirit Lake and Edward and worked on roadways in Spokane as a forman. The couple retired to Spokane. Edward passed away on June 16,1974 at the age of 96 years old.
