ROY D. MORLAN, age 57, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on January 9, 1953 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Sherman and Frances Phillips Morlan. He married Pam Kitchen in March 1976 in Indiana.
Surviving are one son, Amos Morlan of West Peoria, Illinois; one daughter, Katina (Charles) Cook of East Galesburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Darrien Dilts, Josie Cook, Mason Cook, Cydney Dilts, Kayla Dilts and Kaleb Cook; one sister, Barb Swank of Abingdon, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Gene Morlan; and two nephews: Steve Swank and Jim Swank.
He was raised and educated in Abingdon, Illinois graduating from Abingdon High School in 1971. He worked at United Facilities in Galesburg, Illinois and part-time as a janitor at the Public Safety Building in Galesburg, Illinois. He enjoyed playing pool.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
