Alma Young Goff of Asheville, NC passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Hendersonville, NC. She was born January 28, 1921 in Moultrie, GA to the late Nathaniel G. & Golie Brown Young; and she moved from Lake Wales, FL to Asheville, NC 8 years ago. She retired from Citrus World in 1986 and was a member of the Golfview Baptist Church. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Goff, a son, Doyle Goff, son-in-law, W.J. Green; her parents, 4 brother and 4 sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Goff Green of Asheville, NC; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Marshall Goff of Mobile, AL; sister, Veronica Young Bell of Santa Fe, TN; grandchildren, Kelly Green Atkins (John) of Johnson City, TN, Sonya Green Griffith (Jonathan) of Connelly Springs, NC, Tammy Perkins of Mobile, AL, Wayne Goff (Debra) of Mobile, AL, and Kimberly Goff Keller (Robert) of Mobile, AL; and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the funeral service at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Bill Anderson and Rev. Dwight Tadlock officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
