Geneva Rose Travis Borden, age 77, of Hermiston, formerly of the Prosser/Paterson area, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 10, 2002. She was born to Guy and Helga Travis on May 31, 1924, on the Horse Heaven.
In 1940, she was married to Vern Borden and together they had seven children. She enjoyed history, reading, music, and her children, loving her husband and serving the Lord. She was active in the Faith Church of God in Hermiston where she had lived for the last few years.
She is survived by her husband Vern in Hermiston; her children Thetis Wilson, (Bob) Stanfield, Or, Earl Borden of Prosser, Cathy Morasch (Don) of Hermiston, Susan Young (husband Scott) of Pasco, James Borden (wife Vicky) of Umatilla, Elizabeth Wynne (husband Ray) of Hermiston, Dan Borden (wife Pamela) of Kennewick.
She had seventeen grandchildren who will greatly miss her. Nineteen children called her great grandma. She also had two great-great grandchildren.
Her parents, Guy & Helga Travis; a sister, Lillian Tyacke, and two brothers Lovell and Norman Travis preceded her in death.
We, her husband and children will greatly miss her prayers and support, she was much loved, thanks mom.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, march 15th, at the Paterson Community Church. Internment will follow at the Paterson Cemetery.
