DRAKESBORO - William H. "Willie" Ashley Sr., 67, of Drakesboro died Friday, March 14, 2003, at his home. The Lynchburg native was a retired pipefitter and a Navy veteran. He was a member of Beechmont Church of Christ. A son, Joshua Ashley, died in 1992. Survivors include his wife, Etta Littlefield Ashley; two sons, William H. Hank Ashley Jr. of Beechmont and Johnny Ashley of Browder; a daughter, Rosanne Gamblin of Bremen; six grandchildren; his father, Robert Ashley of Staunton, Va.; a brother, Ronnie Ashley of Staunton; and two sisters, Donna Ryder of Staunton and Barbara Williams of Roebuck, S.C.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
