Francine Bault Asher, 54, of Kimberly, died Nov. 17, 2010, at her home.

Mrs. Asher was born May 8, 1956, in Portland, to Frank and Doraine (Shierenbeck) Bault. She graduated from Tigard High School.

On Feb. 13, 1981, she married David E. Asher in Tigard. She was a housewife, rancher and farmer, and enjoyed working at Thomas Orchards in Kimberly.

She enjoyed the mountains, camping out and hunting American Indian artifacts. She loved children and was an instant grandmother to any children she met.

She enjoyed running the swather, cutting hay even in the rain. An avid gardener, she continually planted a variety of flowers. Wild birds never went hungry, as she went through 50 pounds of seed a month, year round.

Her various dogs, cats and pet cockatiel were her surrogate children, whom she loved dearly.

Survivors include her husband, David Asher of Kimberly; mother, Doraine Bault of Tigard; brother, Frank Bault of Tigard; and aunt, Dode Wooley of Redmond.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Bault.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Mountain Hospice through Driskill Memorial Chapel, 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, OR 97845.
