Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at a Mass in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Antoine "Tan" Angelle, 74, who died at 2:18 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. The two readers will Melissa Lee, and Michael Stemmans. Giftbearers will be his four sisters.

Musical selections will be provided by Mark Conques. The songs will be "Here I am Lord", "Taste and See", "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles Wings" and "Be Not Afraid".

Mr. Angelle was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was an employed painter with the Lafayette Parish School System and retired in 1993 after 26 dedicated years. His favorite pass time was working in his garden and being with his family. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Therese Bernard Angelle, of Carencro; one son, Wayne Angelle and his wife, Pamela, of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Chad Angelle, of Baton Rouge, and Melissa A. Lee and her husband, Adam, of Lafayette; four sisters, Lou A. Stemmans, Lucille A. Villard, Lillian A. Trosclair and her husband, Johnny, all of Lafayette, and Molly A. Domingue and her husband, Fred, of Scott; and one brother, Moise Angelle Jr., of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Moise Angelle Sr. and the former Elvige Hollier, both natives of Cecilia, and one brother, Rodney Angelle.

Pallbearers will be Chad Angelle, June Angelle, Adam Lee, Fred Domingue, Donald Abbadie and Robert Villard.

Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro 4615 North University Avenue was in charge of arrangements.
