The funeral of the late Mrs. J. G. Laird, who died Sunday morning at her home in Stockwell, was conducted from the house yesterday afternoon. Rev. J. A. Clearwaters officiated. Interment in Stockwell cemetery, under the auspices of Stockwell Lodge No. 139, I. O. O. F. of which her husband was an honored member. Mrs Laird came to Indiana from northern Ohio at the age of 18 years and had resided in this state 54 years. (The Daily Call, July 10, 1900.)
