Ernest Huntington Carter was born June 25, 1871 in Springville, Utah, the son of William H. & Cordelia Lane Carter. He married Lydia D. Robinson, daughter of George M.D. & Elizabeth M . Garrett Robinson, on December 14, 1893. They were the parents of 3 children: Elizabeth "Bessie", Lydia C "Della", and Ernest William Carter. Lydia died in 1901 and Ernest married Stella Jenkins after that. Ernest died of heart failure at the age of 35 on August 28, 1906.
